Tesslin Watches: Moon Lovers - Scarlet Heart Ryeo episode 2

Let's get right to it.

Okay, I absolutely adore Ha Ji/Hae Soo. Look at her standing her ground and telling off 4 for being a rude bitch to her. Dude may have saved her from an accident, but he doesn't get away with shoving her carelessly off her horse and riding his horse full speed through a crowd. And what is up with the way he reared up his horse in front of her face??? Bully. Man, 4 is not growing on me at all.

Tesslin Watches: Moon Lovers - Scarlet Heart Ryeo episode 1

Right! I've decided to just start the blog in conjunction with me starting to watch a new series. It is the Korean remake of the hit Chinese series, Scarlet Heart / Bu Bu Jing Xin (henceforth referred to as BBJX).

The Korean title is "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" or any other combination of those words as they differ from various sources.

I absolutely LOOOOOVED BBJX (lol let's be real, I loved 4 and Ruo Xi) so I'm trying to keep my expectations very low for the Korean version, because I really would rather be pleasantly surprised at how good it is rather than disappointed at it not living up to my high hopes. And since I adore BBJX I'm sure I'll often compare BBJX and Ryeo without being able to help it.

So here goes me watching, recapping (not really but kind of?) and commenting on Ryeo's pilot episode!

First post!

Welcome to Tesslin Watches Things!

I'm Tess. In this blog I'll be chronicling things I watch. As in, films or tv series. Not people's windows or animal behaviors.

Don't expect retelling of plots; instead I'll be freely writing any thoughts that popped into my head while I watch a movie or episode. They might not make much sense as freeflow thoughts often do, and grammars are abundant in error. But hopefully they'll still be fun to read. :)

So here goes another attempt to maintain a blog! Fingers crossed this one lasts a while :)

Cheers,
Tessa
